Nick Savva is a senior and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in disorders of the foot and ankle. He also treats all traumatic orthopaedic injuries of upper and lower limb.
I work for the NHS at Dorset County Hospital and privately at the Winterbourne in Dorchester and at the Fortius Clinic in London. I have regular clinics in Dorset and London.
It has been a couple of weeks since I finished the shockwave therapy for my plantar fasciitis with Mr Savva and so far things are looking really good. I will continue with the physiotherapy stretching for as long as I need to - to prevent if flaring up again.
My doctor referred me to Mr Nick Savva as I have a foot injury. I did not know what to expect and Nick immediately put me at ease with his calm engaging manner. I have been impressed by his meticulous investigation and speedy response. Nick has gone that extra mile to provide quality care and follow up.
This is just to let you know, three months after my total ankle replacement, how very delighted I am with the new ankle. It has liberated me from constrained walking for my body, and I find I'm swinging along easily in country walks that are now such a pleasure.
In 2004 I was medically discharged from HM forces following a nasty, lower leg injury. For many years I suffered with agonizing pain, with debilitating movement. That was until I was introduced to Nick who completed an ankle arthrodesis in 2014. Nick's skill, compassion and dedication to the task is unquestionable.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you. I am back on my bike and running again with no pain in my foot for the first time in nearly 2 years. It means a lot to me, especially in these difficult times. Now I am looking forward to getting back in the pool again!
